Can't delete snapshots: "must not have dependent clones"

Hello all, i have some snapshots took 2 months ago by the system itself.
I want to get rid of them, but i can’t delete them cause Truenas says they have dependent clones.

i’m assuming they were taken when migrating from core to scale…
how to do?
Thanks

Yes, the iX-applications dataset was cloned to provide a safe migration from dragonfish to electric eel… I assume that was the path you took.

We’'ll be deleting it by fangtooth… anything earlier is possible, but is not documented and has risk for downgrades.

i tried this solution and seems to work:

zfs promote SSD/ix-apps/app_mounts/syncthing/config
zfs destroy SSD/ix-apps/app_mounts/syncthing/config

also with app running, so seems to be safe.
tried to stop/start the app and nothing gone wrong.

i think i will do it for all snapshots

I have just upgraded to fangtooth and i’m still unable to delete old snapshots and get this same message. I have migrated all of my apps, is there any update on this?

I don’t know if other people have the same issue???

These are my snapshots that I cant delete.

Some of those apps I don’t even use anymore or have installed as apps

What do you think?

Do you still have your ix-applications dataset (not ix-apps) or have you already deleted it?

I do still have my ix-applications dataset yes. I dont have an ix-apps dataset though? I am using custom host path now though for all apps

It’s a hidden dataset:
https://www.truenas.com/docs/truenasapps/managingapps/#ix-apps-dataset

Ahh yes i can see thta in FTP now.

So if I have migrated all of my apps, I am okay to delete the ix-application dataset now?

Yes and if it does that successfully, it should also clear the dependent clones
