Cloud Sync to Dropbox from TrueNAS Scale: Job Connection Throughput and System Overall Network Throughput Reporting Do Not Match. Help?

Hello,

I have AT&T Fiber, with a 1Gbps up/down full duplex connection. I’ve added a sync job to backup a dataset to Dropbox, as I need to destroy the pool it lives on and need to get that data somewhere safe.

The job window reports that TrueNAS is dutifully maxing out my WAN uplink, at a steady 95.812 MiB/s.

(I’m ignoring the ETA, as it’s hugely inaccurate. It’s been sitting at 44 seconds for hours now.)

However, the status widget for bond0 (2x10 GbE NICs in an LACP bond) shows that the job status is clearly wrong.

251.77 kb/s is clearly nowhere close to 1 Gbps, and would explain why it’s taken over a week for this cloud sync to almost complete.

Looking closer at TrueNAS’ network reporting, here’s what’s actually been going on for the last 24 hours.

That’s spikes of 25-38 MB/s, and a lot of nothing.

Over in OPNSense, I can also verify that my entire network isn’t coming close to transmitting 1 Gbps onto the WAN.

So, at this point I have no idea what’s going on, but it seems that TrueNAS has no idea what its actual outbound thoroughput is, which makes all the other statics associated with the job suspect. (If I had really uploaded mutliple terabytes of data at this point, the job would be over.)

Is it possible I’ve misconfigured something? Is this a bug I need to report? I’m really lost at this point.
