I bought (2) UGreen 4800 Plus NAS boxes. I upgraded both to 64GB. I have (4) NAS HDDs in each and my question is around how to utilize the NVMe slots on each.

NAS 1: Veeam destination target. Veeam will drop to this NAS and then copy off to the cloud (non-zfs target). I have a small container full of old NVMe drives and wondering how or what the 2 drives might be best used.

NAS 2: 4K video repesoitory. Marketing uses it. SMB on/off, etc. Same questions apply.

TIA

Boot drive. If there’s four HDDs and the NVMe is the only additional drive, there’s little choice.

I’m a dink. There is a 128GB boot drive. The (2) NVMe are non-populated currently.

Non redundant pool for apps or VMs, perform regular backup to HDD pool?

Regular backup to HDD pool

That was meant as a suggestion of what to do with the NVMe drives. Use them for apps or VMs in a non-redundant pool while performing regular replication to the HDD pool to mitigate the risk of losing the device.
