Console Setup Menu cannot access direct from server

Clean install of scale, disabled the ’ Show Text Console without Password Prompt’ and tried to access using Cores /etc/netcli didn’t work.
Eventually found ‘/usr/bin/cli --menu’ but again it didn’t work, operation not permitted.

/usr/bin/cli --menu works with the web shell and putty but not the actual server. Any ideas on how to fix it.

Does it work if you run it with sudo in front?

Yes it does which is still strange as I don’t have to use sudo if I Putty in or use the shell.

You would think it’s all or non. In any case, I’ll just have to remember to use sudo for it.
