That’s one of the posts that mentioned this method. There are others. However, now I don’t think that it even matters. Sometimes the Truenas GUI shows names like /dev/sdb, and other times it shows unique IDs, but I believe this is mostly cosmetic. I can also confirm that, after this subsequent post, I had disks with the sdb, sdc type designation, rebooted, and Truenas found the pool with no problems.
