hello everyone .for some reasons I have to move a lot of files（about 40tb） from one dataset to another recently ，however this error(task smbd blocked for more than 120secs) keeps happening， and the transfer is stuck and not responding ，I wanna know what happen exactly and how to fix this . I am new to truenas and have very little knowledge about linux . appreciate for all your answers and help .
Use snapshot/replication from the GUI. The major issue to consider is changes that happen after the snapshot - the usual answer is to rinse and repeat as the seond and consequtive snapshots are a lot smaller and quicker.
You can’t rename a snapshot in the GUI - so have to use commandline
zfs rename -f BigPool/SMB/Common_New BigPool/SMB/Common
Note that I am asuming that the destination dataset is currently empty. If its got data you want to keep then you can’t use replication
