I was creating an ubuntu container in the new “Containers” section of the UI and was trying to get the networking to work for the container. As I assigned a NIC the UI hung. I tried rebooting and now I can’t access either the truenas UI or any of the App UIs.
I tried restarting the middlewared and nginx service (along with another reboot). No luck
I tried removing the network interfaces but still not able to look into anything.
I am wondering if the container I created (forgejo-runner) is causing some weird issue so I was thinking I’d try to just delete it but can’t find how to do that through shell.
I can verify that the other App containers are up and running and I find it really strange that I can’t access them.
I can hit my homeassistant VM though?!?!
I’m at a bit of a loss what to look at, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
So I ended up rebooting and starting up 25.04.1 from GRUB and it popped right up. Not sure if it’s an issue with the .2 or what but I got it running again.
Ah, that would make sense then. I was trying to get connectivity working to the new container instance. Sounds like I need to do a bit more reading up on it first. Typically trial and error has worked well enough but I’m this case I seemed to have broke things. Usually the UI does a great job if keeping me out of trouble!
Is there a way to see these new containers (I get a bit confused as I consider the apps containers as well) in the CLI? I was thinking if I could have shut down that container from there it may have brought back the interface.
Another question, if I upgrade back to 25.04.02, will that container instance show up again and mess things up or did going back down wipe it out (I’m not seeing any containers in my 25.04.01).
