Custom Widget To Monitor GPU?

Hello all,

I upgraded to Scale Electric Eel yesterday and so far I am impressed. I like the updated homepage and customization. However it is missing one thing, and I wondered if I could achieve it using a custom Widget.

I wanted to display the results of Intel_GPU_Top (which you would use in Shell) in a widget, so that anytime I visit the homepage, I can see the status of my GPU. Is this possible? If so how would I go about achieving this?

Thanks in advance.

For nvidia that’s a planed feature for a future release, don’t know how the status is for intel.

Sounds good. I may pop in a feature request for Intel for a future release. However if anyone knows a way to create a custom widget for the time being, that would be great.

Found an old jira ticket number, apperently for intel it’s not yet supported because netdata doesn’t have support for it.
There was already a draft for nvidia with some pictures, but i can’t find the link to the site ( was either jira or github)

Found the link on the old forum Dashboard Improvement 1: GPU Widget · truenas/webui · Discussion #9865 · GitHub

Thanks for that. Looks interesting, although one would have to decide what “GPU Usage” is actually monitoring on the widget. Would it take into account overall usage, or just that of the 3D Engine, or Media Engine for things like transcoding.

The widgets as designed on the old topic you linked look pretty, but IMHO not granular enough. The Intel_GPU_Top at least gives you a good breakdown of what part of the GPU is being used, such as the below:

I will provide this same feedback in a more appropriate place, just thinking out loud.
