Dataset for ix_apps won't mount when setting up apps

Hello all!

I am trying to install an app, but when I try to configure it, I get the following error:

[EFAULT] ‘fridge/ix-apps’ dataset is not mounted on ‘/mnt/.ix-apps’

All the other posts I have found with the same error do not have any answers in them.
How do I resolve this?

My system:

Dell t7910 with Proxmox hypervisor
Dual Xeon e5 2680 12 core 24 threads
196GB ECC DDR4
LSI sas controller passed through to TrueNas VM with 70GB ram and 14 cores
4x 4TB seagate sas 12 hard drives in raidz1
2x 256GB sata ssd’s as cache and log

Did you change anything about your pools recently?
Did you assign the pool in the global apps settings?

The pool is imported from a previous install, but I deleted the apps dataset before doing that.

The error comes up when trying to set the pool.
