I will power down and unplug / reseat all data and power connections.

[image] homelabuser: No Avago SAS adapters found! Limited Command Set Available! Well, I think we found our smoking gun… HBA isn’t detected & (therefor) most drives are missing from the system. Consider also physically reseating the HBA. You could also consider trying sas2flash, but …

hmm… how would this output be different if the hba was detected (the only devices I’m not seeing in the list are 2 x 2.7T drives (the boot pool are the 238.5 and 447.1 (which is the replacement for faulting previous 238.5 boot disk)) NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINTS sda …

Well in that output we got like, sda b c d e f + 2 nves; so that is like 6 drives total? I’m guessing the ones connected directly to your motherboard. (+ 2 nves, also directly to motherboard). [image] homelabuser: boot (2 mirrored) apps (this pool is ok / not affected) 2x2 mirrored pool (curre…

[image] Fleshmauler: sas2flash -list gotcha… thanks for the clarification. I’ve unplugged / reseated all data and power cables. No joy. I’ll get a new raid controller card and I’ll add a fan to the card There are multiple case fans… but I’ll add a dedicated cooling fan on the card. Thanks…

No chance removing & reseating the HBA did the needful? Moving to a different pcie slot? Yeah, sadly these things are expecting server grade airflow, so if you don’t need hearing protection when sitting in the same room, then it isn’t getting enough air from only the case fans. :frowning:

neither reseating nor moving HBA card worked. I’ll get ear defenders for the soon-to-be-installed card fan. Thanks again.

[image] homelabuser: I’ll get ear defenders for the soon-to-be-installed card fan. Careful. Your words might summon the beast .

sudo sas3flash -list should list the HBA. SCALE/CE needs sudo for most useful commands.
