Hi, I have a pool made of two mirrored HDDs, but one of them failed. I have detached the broken one, and now the remaining HDD has started the resilvering process, which I can’t stop. I thought resilvering only occurs when you’re detaching and attaching a new drive to a pool.
Are you sure it is a Re-Silver, and not a normally scheduled ZFS Scrub?
Normally with TrueNAS, you schedule ZFS scrubs of all your pools to run on a regular basis. Like every 2 weeks.
Of course, their is a rare chance the the remaining disk in the Mirror suffered a block failure in redundant Metadata, and had to Re-Silver that Metadata block.

Well, it was saying “resilvering” and it took about 7 hours. I am not sure what happened, but after it finished everything was alright.
