May be a dumb question… do I need to reset root password (I used local admin to install) after TrueNAS scale installation completed? I can see root account with password disable seemingly not able be remote login but I am not familiar with Linux at all and not sure if that’s secure enough.
Correct, if you made a new “admin” user you don’t need to do anything else. That root user will remain disabled for login unless you explicitly go and re-enable it later for some reason, which is generally not needed or recommended.
