I also had this issue… strange… on another TrueNAS I have I did not have to set the default gateway (they are both set to get this stuff via DHCP actually)… anyways did you have to reboot it to take this assignment of a default GW in effect?
I had the same issue last night and this morning with mine, and mine is also setup for DHCP. I then realized that it coincided with me having power, and therefore internet outage, at home, and so my TrueNAS would come up before the router & internet connection. This happened twice, evening and morning, so my assumption is that the NAS doesn’t receive it’s DHCP from the router because the router wasn’t up yet, and so gave the docker interface error. But when the router & internet eventually did come up and it did get a reserved DHCP address, I was able to access the TrueNAS, but the app’s section was still “broken” with that error, and only resolved itself after I rebooted TrueNAS. Then everything came up working properly again.
I’m having the same issue after multiple restarts. It worked successfully after upgrading from dragonfish to electric eel, but now every time I restart i get the same error " Failed to configure docker for Applications: Unable to determine default interface". I’m not having network issues. There isn’t a setting anymore to set the interface like there was with Kubernetes. I have 2 dual port nics in a dell poweredge server.
Does anyone have any advice on how to set a default interface?
