Error: compression algorithm 95 not supported

I get this error when starting up a new i5 8500T NAS bare metal server. Everything seems to work fine, but I see this before grub menu comes up.

Maybe post a detailed hardware list? I see ‘unknown device’ and don’t know if it’s related. Does everything else work on the NAS or does this stop booting?

Everything boots and works perfectly fine. I did see some comments about TrueNAS and Grub having weird interactions.

Like these:

Supermicro MB, i5 8500T, 32G DDR4 ram, 6 seagate Exos HDD, two NVME, 1 SSD, Intel 540-DA2 10GBit card. Using on board 8 port SATA.

I would ignore the FreeNas post as that is ancient and BSD.

Making sure you have a current copy of your Scale configuration would be a good idea in case you need to reinstall Scale. If you make any changes make an updated copy again.

I get something similar on SCALE, though I’m not sure it’s the same algorithm. If it boots and works, I’d say don’t worry about it.
