Currently my system is a Truenas server 24.04.2.5 that has 1 guest vm which is a Proxmox Backup Server that I setup before the transition over to incus.
Currently I have 2 ZVOLs added to this PBS VM. The ‘root’ ZVOL and the ‘datastore’ ZVOL. I wanted to increase the space of the datastore which should be no big deal. Increase the ZVOL from Truenas, increase/resize the partition from inside PBS VM, then resize the filesystem from inside the PBS VM.
Problem is that once I increased the ZVOL storage in Truenas from 2TiB to 4TiB. The PBS VM doesn’t recognize that the disk it self has increased thus not allowing me to increase/resize the partition to then be able to resize the filesystem from inside the PBS VM.
I have tried multiple reboots etc. of both the Truenas server and the PBS VM but to no avail. The disk still shows up in the PBS VM as 2TiB.
Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated or maybe I’m just missing something right in front of my face.
Thank you in advance!
