Thank you very much! I will play around with it. This at least solves the speed issue. I did not know that you couldn’t have more than 1 connection. But that makes sense why it degraded to the slowest link speed.
There’s this in the official docs:
Link aggregation requires a managed switch that also supports it, and is set up correctly.
Edit: Be careful when playing around with this as to not lock yourself out. Have a keyboard/monitor attached so you can reset the network if needed. + Save a config!
Thanks! I’ve updated my bond0 to FAILOVER with the Connect X-3 card in the first position. Seems to be working.
I don’t know how failover handles interfaces with varying capacities, cool if it can make the most of it.

Edit: Some quick googling suggests identical interface capacities are expected/required with LACP. That was some quick googling indeed though. Maybe I’m hallucinating.
