Feedback on a few UI things - Random placements of stuff, and graphical design between products

So the most important part is that there is a lot of jumping between screen placement for different dialouge options. Sometimes things show up in the bottom center, other times it supposed to be on the top far right, third times it is in the middle left pane. This makes is tiresome to use, since you constantly have to search for what it is you’re looking for. This is way more apparent when you don’t know the UI intuitievly, which I think you do. And therefore you’ve become a bit blind towards your own product.

Also I’ve noticed that there is a disconnect UI-wise in TrueNAS-Connect (TNC) from TrueNAS (TN) proper. Mainly in that TNC uses square toggle-buttons, whereas TN uses rounded ones. FWIW, I don’t really care for the square ones. They look unpolished and jagged, and almost hostile to my eyes imHo.

@jr-m4 The UI team is working on unifying components across the two UIs, look forward to seeing that next year. As far as poor screen placement, we would appreciate a support request with specific feedback. You are right that one becomes blind to their own product.

I was going to try and collect screenshots and such. But now I can’t sign up for TNC. This makes it pretty much impossible for me at the moment. Will try in a week or so, if no further updates have happened.
