Firefox 131.0.3 (64-bit) (on Mac) unable to open any version of TrueNAS console

I saw today that I had a Firefox update waiting, so allowed it to restart to install the update, but on returning to look at it, my connection to the TrueNAS (13.0 U6.1) GUI wasn’t loading… I tried to force reload and refreshed, but no go. I also noticed that my jails weren’t showing their interfaces either, so I was about to restart the server, but then noticed that I also couldn’t load the GUI for my 13.3… and then also the 2 SCALE hosts I have… and all the apps I access directly over http on those hosts.

So then I tried in Chrome… works fine.

Strange as I have been using Firefox as the portal to my TrueNAS GUI for years with few or no issues.

Anyone else noticed problems like that?

So… in a strange development, I quit Firefox, then checked the Settings for Privacy & Security, noting that “Passkeys access for web browsers” was sitting there with Firefox in the list, but not enabled… so I enabled it… then checked “Local Network”, which showed all my browsers including Firefox enabled… I un-checked and re-checked Firefox and started Firefox… all good now.

I guess it was just something with MacOS and permissions for the app blocking some kind of check meaning all local pages would fail.

Hope this helps somebody in future.
