Personally I’d still keep a GPU for transcoding from what I’ve seen vs using amd apu:

I still think that obsession with keep a multipurpose machine with a small motherboard size is an impossible compromise that usually ends up with premiums paid for less features & ends up with disappointment as you run out of PCIe lanes.

This could also just be me projecting with how my NAS build went (see cutting pcie4.0x1 risers to cram more crap into it)… and my second server… but didn’t make that mistake THREE times, that’d be just silly.
