Hi All,
I am trying to figure out the usual suspect mDNS.
For Frigate to be seen by HomeKit I need to expose go2rtc via mDNS. I had attempted to switch to host network in Community Frigate App, but go2rtc interfaces are not coming up. since nDNS is already running on TrueNAS container to relay mDNS from docker0 to LAN interface did not work. Wonder if anyone had solved this issue?
Possibly solvable after June 1st when you will be able to assign a dedicated IP address to an app - but not before.
Thank you. I will wait is it coming as a beta code or GA?
GA as far as I know. The changes are mainly to the app catalog.
Make sure you run the latest version of either 24.10 or 25.4.
Added new IP to the same bridge as main TtrueNAS, updated Frigate container to v1.2.3 - it allows to select different IP to be used with the App, It appears there is no avahi-daemon, dbus-daemon in container. On the host avahi-browse -a runs once and on consecutive runs gives: avahi_service_browser_new() failed: Invalid service type. This frigate app is “community” train, but I am not sure who maintains it and how to get hold of them …
