Frigate www port

Warm welcome. I have been using Frigate on TrueNas Scale for a few days now. I noticed that by default it redirects the www port to port 5000 which does not require authorization. According to the documentation, you should redirect www to port 8971. This is very problematic if you want to use frigate outside the lan network. Do you have any idea how to modify this? My configuration is the default for TrueNas Scale.

This is why you’d put Frigate (or any other apps you want to expose that way) behind a TLS-terminating reverse proxy.

I have a cloudflare tunnel set to an address on the lan network. However, if I now enter the www address everyone sees the cameras without password by default.
When installing the container, there is no option to select the port without automatic authorization.

You can’t modify the default apps to add extra ports so a reverse proxy with proper authentication (aka Authelia or Authentik) is best.

You can likely file a Feature Request or a PR to add a secondary port for Frigate to use, since this is a new feature they added only 2 months ago it makes sense the SCALE app hasn’t been changed to work with this, they’re kinda busy with other stuff and it is a “community” app
