Full Wipe of Disk Returns an Error of No Space Left On Devlce

I’m trying to do a Zero’s wipe of a disc and twice now it fails around midpoint w/ the below said error message. What gives? Many thx in advance.

Model:Intel(R) Core™ i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Memory:11 GiB
System Serial: deleted by @Davvo for safety concerns
