GPU upgrade causes issues

Hi Everyone. I upgraded my GPU from NVIDIA GeForce RTX 1070 to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 and now an application that used to work with the GPU no longer starts. On start it shows an error:

“middlewared.service_exception.CallError: [EFAULT] Failed ‘up’ action for ‘frigate’ app, please check /var/log/app_lifecycle.log for more details”

Looking at the referenced file there is an error that says this

“Error response from daemon: failed to create task for container: failed to create shim task: OCI runtime create failed: runc create failed: unable to start container process: error during container init: error running hook #0: error running hook: exit status 1, stdout: , stderr: Auto-detected mode as ‘legacy’. nvidia-container-cli: device error: GPU-14d66a40-71de-587e-30f1-3f80939bce46: unknown device: unknown”

The shown UUID is of the old 1070 GPU. How can I update the system so it uses the new GPU UUID instead of trying to use the old one? I am running the latest ElectricEel-24.10.0

im facing the same issue

did you manage to resolve this ?
if so, how ?

i managed to fix my issue, hope this will help you out aswell

But basicly in my case, i was using the PLEX app
after i installed a new GPU, the PLEX app was still trying to talk to my older card.

i had to make the adjustments that Stavros Kois mentions in this thread
