I have a share set up on my TrueNAS Scale server that I am able to access on any of my Windows machines. I am following the steps to add an SMB connection to my Chromebook and it just isn’t connecting. I searched and found another person with the same issue on the old forum but no one ever replied there. Any suggestions?
I haven’t had a ChromeOS device for a few years. How are you trying to attach it to the SMB share?
Is it something like shown on this link? I believe that is how I used to do the connection, like step 2. Are you using a separate user on TrueNAS that owns the SMB share?
Mine works fine - I’m packing it in for tonight but I’ll try to look into it tomorrow and I shall come up with the settings in/on the Chrome book (as well its h/w and firmware versions). In TrueNAS, let me know if you need further details fro elsewhere in its UI.
Here are the SMB settings which work (the bottom couple of bits are empty, by the way, so missed off this screenshot).
Thanks for the replies. I was being a dumbass on my server address. I figured it out. Sorry for the waste of time.
