All,
First post. Usually I can find someone on the forum who has come across any problems I have had. Not this time.
After some unsuccessful searching I decided to post my question. I would like some help in interpreting alerts on the dashboard page. If there is a link that I did not see please refer me to it.
On the dashboard page in the upper right corner there is the alert tab. Clicking on it shows the alerts but there is a ‘red !’ error after a successful replication from another truenas server I have. I would think this shows a problem but if I go to the replication page where it originates from there is a green ‘finished’ sign with no error. Clicking on the ‘finished’ button it says there are no logs available for this task.
I use the multi-reports script and it shows the replication tasks as successful also.
I don’t know if the alert tab on the dashboard with the ‘red !’ error is an issue or if I am interpreting it wrong. This has been going on for a while.
I don’t see where to upload a screenshot in the post so a description will have to do.
TIA
Which script exactly? I know Multi-Report does not check replication tasks.
Have you examined “the other” TrueNAS machine to see if it has any error?
You cannot as a new user, not immediately. It is part of the Spam filter. However the Alert button (looks like an Alarm Bell) is something most of use are familiar with.
Hey Joe,
Thanks for the reply. Thanks for the multi-report script. Very nice.
My apologies. I see I mistyped regarding the multi-report showing alert errors. I meant that the truenas emails showing replication alerts at the completion of the replication tasks don’t show or list any errors.
The multi-report is v3.0.7 dtd:2024-06-08 and it didn’t report errors on the drives either.
The other truenas unit doesn’t show any errors in it’s alerts either.
So, you are saying the alarm bell alert showing the red exclamation error message is normal?
Thank again.
