How to install FIO on Scale

Hello I know it seems like trivial question but I cant find information how to install FIO on true nas. I see a lot of threads when people are comparing results and particular commands, but how to even run it from shell? If im trying to install it I got message that pack managment is disabled for true nas, should I use VM for it?

you don’t, fio is included in scale.

Edit: If you’re using the admin account and not root, it could be that you have to use sudo for the command to run.

  1. Linux is case sensitive - so be sure to use fio rather than FIO.

  2. I am able to run fio --help without being root. Probably better to run as non-root and prevent some of the worst consequences of mistakes.
