How to run XAMPP / LAMPP in TrueNAS Scale

This is my first exposure to TrueNAS so I don’t quite know how everything plays together yet… So on to the lashings.

I would like to run a simple server (container) to hold my website projects. It seems to me that setting up a virtual machine will be time consuming… but I just came across information that you can use a Docker image / container of an application and run it on TrueNAS. In theory, it seems simple and ideal solution because I’m only interested in the container and nothing beyond it. Neither system maintenance or updates… Of course, the project data wants to keep on the NAS drive.

Can someone explain to me step by step how to run such a simple container or how to create one where I can access PHP, Database - so far that’s all I care about.

I run virtualmin on Ubuntu server (minimal) in a virtual machine (KVM) on my true as.

This probably is a good place to start.

Xampp is more for desktop PCs and development, not truenas.
