If ther is any way to install drivers for Coral TPU pci for Frigate on Truenas 25.04??? Whatever I tryed, nothing works. Looks like kernel issue with driver.

If the correct drivers or kernel modules are not already included in the base Truenas install, your options are:

  • enable Dev. mode There be dragons !!
  • pass the USB TPU to a VM or Container where you can install the drivers. (Safer, will survive updates)

I ended using a VM for HAOS, paassthrough the PCI slot, installing frigate as an addon inside HAOS and works flawlessly. I get the updates of frigate with no problems, updates for SCALE and everything working fine.

No need to install drivers on HAOS, SCALE or Frigate addon.
