I like to keep a VM on my server that can be accessed remotely. The systems I access it from have different display resolutions. To get the most of whatever display I’m on, I’d prefer if maximizing the client window set the remote system to the same resolution. From what I can tell, this is really only an option with Spice, not VNC.
Is there a way to change the VMs hosted on Fangtooth/Incus to use Spice instead of VNC? I tried modifying the Incus configs but was getting errors about PCI device conflicts and VGA not being console 0.
When it comes to using the Root disk that seems unavoidable, or mounting a ZVOL, what are the pros and cons of each? Should a ZVOL be mounted just when you want additional space to keep data separate from the root? Any cons to only using the root disk?
When I installed Home Assistant OS, I extracted the qcow2 to a ZVOL. Is it possible to extract this to the Root disk instead?
