Instance can't locate zvol after reboot

I did the upgrade from 24.10 to 25.04, made a new instance for my vm and migrated the zvol.

Now after a reboot I get the following error when trying to start the instance:
[EFAULT] Failed to start instance: Failed to start device “Name”: Failed mounting volume: Failed to get disk path: Failed to locate zvol for “VMPool/.ix-virt/custom/default_Name”: context deadline exceeded.

I have no chance of debugging this, as I cant see that path under VMPool (I never could, even before reboot).

This feature feels very unfinished, and I wonder why they chose to push it to a “stable” release, where they would be changing other stuff (the Apps), thereby forcing us who uses both features to upgrade…

Does anyone have ideas/suggestions?
Of course I did not back up data from the VM before reboot, as I didn’t think it would be an issue, and I can’t even get access to the volume to do my own forensics now :frowning:

Anyone? There is nothing in the folders under /var/lib/incus/
This makes me lose all trust in Truenas, my VM is gone, from a “stable” release, where I followed the upgrade instructions to the point.

Under instances I can see the volumes I imported, but the dates are weird. They show like: 0003-01-01 00:53:28 .
Does this mean my vm is somewhere, or is this just an artefact in the instances interface?
