Intel 10G PciE Sfp Module

If I wrote it in the wrong place, I’m sorry.

I installed “Truenas Scale” on my Dell R720 Server. The server has “Intel Corporation 82599ES 10-Gigabit SFI/SFP+ Network Connection (rev 01)” installed. There are 2 SFP ports. But I can’t use SFP. It is not displayed in the interface list. How can I solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

What SFP+ modules are you using? Intel 10G NICs are notorious for being picky with their optics, the “Adapter removed” in your logs makes me think it is unhappy and disabling due to an unsupported module.

If you have any other NICs on the system, start it up without anything in the SFP+ cages and see if the ports are visible in the web ui.

Thank you for your question. I am also planning to buy the X520-DA2 network card. Your post let me know that TrueNAS Scale supports it. Thank you.
