I’m using TrueNAS Cloud Backups to backup my apps to Storj. As far as I’ve understood it, the backend used for this is Restic?
Is it safe to install Restic on another computer and restore data there, or could I mess things up?
Yes, TrueNAS Cloud Backups use Restic. You can safely install Restic on another machine and restore data, just make sure to use the same repository key/password. Test with a small folder first, and don’t initialize a new repo by mistake.
