Issue in updating from TrueNAS-SCALE-25.10.0-MASTER-20250829 to TrueNAS 25.10-BETA.1

Good morning everyone,
I’m running TrueNAS-SCALE-25.10.0-MASTER-20250 on my HP MicroServer Gen8 and I’d like to update to TrueNAS 25.10-BETA.1.
Unfortunately I’m not able to:

  • change the update channel from developper to early adopter (option not available)
  • manually update using .update file → error because “downgrade” is not allowed.
    I’d like to avoid to perform a complete new installation.
    Do you have any suggestion to move from 25.10 Master to 25.10 Beta?

you can’t use the webui to go from nightly to beta or release. As far as i know you have to reintsall and import your config

If you have an earlier boot environment, like from a 25.04 release version, you could boot back into that and then upgrade to 25.10-BETA.1.
