Launching container image as a custom app?

Does the app automatically monitor the container and restart the container if it exits by default? I have one task that I’d like to run during off-peak hours, and if it restarts after the program is done, then it will be continously wasting cpu and bandwidth to look at things that likely haven’t changed at all. I can see it making sense for some services (like SassBot, so I can announce when my model friend starts a livestream to the Discord server that I manage for her). On some other apps, I pretty much just want them to run once a day, that kind of thing, and I don’t want them running 24x7. Is there an easy way to accomplish this with TrueNAS SCALE? (I’m on DragonFish, if that makes any difference.)
