I’m in the middle of an eval project looking at Plex, Emby and Jellyfin. I store all of my media on a TrueNAS Core 13.3 system in an SMB shared set of directories.
I have set up a test system running TrueNAS Scale Electric Eel with a modest amount of storage.
Is there a way to access the SMB share on the TrueNAS Core system from the TrueNAS Scale system so I don’t have to copy these sizable media folder to the TN Scale system?
If so, how? I’m good with SMB shares, but a noob when it comes to NFS or other methods.
Note: I couldn’t get Jellyfin running on the TN Scale system so I installed it in an Ubuntu VM and successfully mapped it to the SMB Share on the TN Core system. But that doesn’t help me with Emby and Plex.
