UPDATE: Hello guys, Where chelsio T580 card display in TrueNAS, the damm thing is running so hot. its currently not doing anything…but the heat sync is Soooo hot cannot touch long., maybe screw a fan into passive heat sync of card? are supposed to run crazy hot?

Fast NICs to tend to run hot, yes.
They’re supposed to run in systems with adequate airflow, which probably means well-engineered rack chassis. If that’s not the environment you’re running in, probably adding a small fan would be a good idea.
Thank you, guys, I know a 1u not best size…but everything is perfect and compact now… wow, one simple thing go fiber and so many rabit holes you jump into, but I’m glad i did it…thank you guys!! I guess get a few barrel fans for it… even not running I know I could fry some eggs on it
I mounted a small fan directly on the HBA heat sink on my motherboard. Thanks to @stux, the whole rig is quieter now than my refrigerator yet the disks stay below 30* C.
I added a super micro Barrel 40x40x250mm fan , its overkill, its barely warm now…
But now you also can rule out a bad component due to overheating even under heavy use. Some of the most pernicious troubleshooting is trying to diagnose something that needs multiple issues to trigger it.
