A little while ago I migrated from Truenas Core to Truenas Scale. The install of Core was on a VM with raw disks. It was the only vm left on that server so during the process, I decided to move it to bare metal.
Steps I followed.
exported pool
Saved a copy of the config file of Core
replaced the VM boot disk with a new boot disk and installed scale
imported the pool
applied the Core config file to Scale install.
Everything worked with only minor hiccups
Altough when I installed scale, I chose the option to login with an ADMIN account instead of with ROOT. However, after I applied the Core config file, it overwrote that and will only login as root. Is there a way I can switch my scale install to login as admin instead of root, much like the Scale install recommends?
