So I have my server now and also my JBOD.
I am going for 24 or 25 drives of approximately 28TB. As for vdev layout I am unsure. I want high IOPS, so I wonder what your view is
- mirrors (just 1 mirror)
- Raidz1 3 wide
- Raidz2 4 wide (also 50% parity same as mirrors, but more robust as 2 failures per vdev).
Are people using 1 way mirrors with huge drive sizes? i think rebuilds should be simpler/faster
Also I have no idea how much work my cpu needs to do to write to six 4-wide raidz2 vdevs (or during a rebuild).
