New motherboard - no network interface

Hi,
I had to upgrade my motherboard (CPU & RAM) but I can’t get the network interface to show.
Old motherboard: ASRock EPC602D8A
New motherboard: ASRock Z690 Pro RS

When it boots up I see the Conosole Setup screen with
“The web interface could not be accessed. Please check network configuration.”

If I go to option 1, “Configure Network Interface”, it tells me to select an interface, but doesn’t present me with any.

If I go to the shell and run ifconfig, I only seem lo0 and pflog0, no actual nics.

When I run dmesg | grep -i network it returns
pci1: <network, ethernet> at device 0.0 (no driver attached)

And finally pciconv -lv shows the interface
none4@pic0:1:0:0
RTL8125 2.5GBE Controller

I’ve read RealTek isn’t great, so I’ll get a new NIC. But is there a way to get this running in the mean time? I’m heading on vacation on Monday and want to be able to stream from the server.

Thanks much!

Just needed to keep googling:

The changes in loader.conf survived a reboot, but it didn’t survive a system update.

Any tips?

Tunables.

If you’re using Core, Scale generally has better support for more hardware, being based on Linux
