We’ve got several servers that were just moved to a TrueNAS core box after a QNAP had a seizure and died.
25 other servers connected to the nfs exports just fine, some to the same folder, some within a subfolder of the parent tree.
There are two boxes that refuse, and attempted a third that never used NFS all report the same:
mount.nfs: stale file handle.
Oddly, those boxes never NFS mounted the exports previously, BUT they show up in the ‘showmount -a’ on the truenas core box.
on the servers attempted to nfs mount to the truenas core box, the mount point is not listed in ‘mount -l’
This truenas core box with the number of NFS connections cannot be restarted, go gone through the other 25 boxes to umount as it is in production.
So, how does one remove the two apparently connected hosts that are not actually connected?
