Uh-oh… I just migrated from Dragonfish to Electric Eel this afternoon, and two of my applications failed to deploy: File Browser and Nginx Proxy Manager. File browser isn’t a critical app, but I got this note:
[2024/10/30 16:48:45] (DEBUG) app_migrations.migrate():241 - ‘nginx-proxy-manager’ app failed to migrate successfully: ‘Failed to create app: [EINVAL] values.run_as.user: Should be greater or equal than 568\n[EINVAL] values.run_as.group: Should be greater or equal than 568\n’
An attempt to reinstall with root level 0 is not allowed. But, when I tried the regular install, I see the following in the logs:
2024-10-30 23:44:27.408046+00:00e[1;34m❯ e[1;36mConfiguring npm user ...e[0m

Acckkkk… I’m trying to install a new version, but having issues… once again, stuck at deploying. This is being installed from the iX store, not from TrueCharts.
As you can see in the upgrading documentation, in ACL says:
Users with applications installed on 24.04 using host path volume mounts and ACL Entries defined in the app configuration screen must go to the app edit screen and set the Force Flag checkbox under ACL Options before updating to 24.10. This ensures the app fully migrates and doesn’t encounter issues when the mount point has existing data.
Have you check before upgrading?
I am considering upgrading to 24.10 but I want to be sure nginx-proxy-manager upgrades sucesfully.

The fresh install of nginx-proxy-manager eventually installed, but it took a while. A long while.
Unfortunately, I didn’t see that note.

Any luck with file browser?
I ended up doing a reinstall on File Browser, and have it configured to work behind a reverse proxy now. This wasn’t one of my apps that I had critical data on and would be hard to reconstruct. nginx-proxy-manager was a critical application, but was also easy to reconstruct once the App started up 25 minutes later. AudioBookShelf has a daily backup, but if something happened to Plex, I would be… very… unhappy.
Per the other thread, this solution works.

I reinstalled couple hour before.
Luckily all settings still intact, making the installation quite swiftly.
