No Video with GPU Passthrough on EE

I’m new to the TrueNAS space, so bear with me. So I had a VM passing through an RX 6700 XT to a Windows 11 OS on 24.04. Unfortunately, I removed some essential apps when debloating the OS and had to redo the whole VM. Felt it was too much a headache to fix than to start from scratch but boy was I wrong.

Iirc, after I updated to EE, I still had video output since I was still able to use moonlight on the VM. However, any new VMs I create, including Win 10, Win 11, and Linux (Mint and Ubuntu) are having no video output from the card. I can RDP into the machines fine, my new win 11 box sees my GPU in device manager and I installed drivers, and I can boot up a game through RDP and it is rendering at a high enough FPS to sufficiently say it’s not my iGPU that it’s running off of. Something to also note is the GPU will display the initial bootup of the VM before going to a black screen. My TV doesn’t timeout so a signal is still being received. And running Moonlight I can even see movement of a mouse cursor on the black background.

Also, I haven’t licensed this new install of Windows 11 if that matters. I figured if it’s not working for other OS that the licensing isn’t the issue.

Can I get some help on potential resolutions? Or is this a bug report?

Something to note: I already deleted the old VM. Didn’t realize video output was an issue until I tried using Moonlight.

So the problem kinda solved itself. Noticed that when I connected via SPICE that my HDMI would start outputting as a secondary monitor. Changing the HDMI as my primary seems to have gotten the VM to a usable state. Now, I more often see the SPICE display go black. Haven’t tried removing the SPICE display now that HDMI is primary, but don’t think it’ll work.
