When installing Emby (1.3.5 latest), I notieced that there is no WebGUI Port configuration. I can successfully install Emby and it eventually ran ok. However, there is no WebUI button for me to click as there wasn’t such a parameter in the installation page. I was confused. Checked youtube tutorials, all by default came with “WebGUI Port”. Is this a bug since it was only released a week ago?
I quickly checked Jellyfin and Plex. They all came with “WebGUI Port” option in their install page.
NOte:
I previously installed an older version (1.2?) of Emby. It was installed with no issue with WebGUI port default as 9096. After updating to 1.3.5 today, the emby no longer runs and stuck in the “deploy” state. Hours of goggle lead me to something about the “hostpath validation” problem (Scale bluefin). Not sure if it is still applied to Fangtooth 25.04? So I deceided to start from scratch by deleting every image and ixVolume folder.
I am trying to upload some photos, but it says " embed items not allowed".
You need to complete the sign on procedure that you were told about when you signed onto the forum

Nothing will remove that button faster than ticking the box that says Host Interface. There’s a little helper bubble that suggests most people don’t need that option. I’m guessing you hit that at some point, easy to check. Edit > Networking in the app page.
If it’s anything like the supposedly helpful guide I followed it missed out completely that you need to setup the Network Configuration - Default is not setup anything which is dumb… and hence no WebUI Button.
Network Configuration
- HTTP Port Bind Mode Publish the Port for External Access
- Emby’s Default Port 9096
and complete your install setting up your storage and the WebUI will appear and you can follow the Emby Setup Wiard.
It’s a harsh world away from setting up somehing lke Synology Media Server.
