[Not Accepted] IPMI tool in the GUI

It would be very useful to have IPMI configuration management in the GUI like UnRaid has.

Impact
This would allow configuration of IPMI settings such as fan zone thresholds without having to utilize the ipmitool shell command.

User Story
A user would go to the current IPMI page and now have a tab for sensor readings, and fanconfiguration.

Any iX staff know if this is an enterprise feature or it just isn’t a thing?

Or, I don’t know, use the IPMI interface itself?

What’s keeping you from invoking the IPMI web UI?

There are so many ways vendors implement that stuff, I don’t see how iX could ever provide that feature outside their own limited and well known range of enterprise appliances.

But if you invested the cash to get a real server mainboard with IPMI, you already have a UI for that.

I have supermicro boards, so yeah I have invested in real server hardware. Thanks for your concern though. Supermicro only exposes 3 fan settings in their web interface for IPMI.
