Nvidia Quadro P2000 not detected

Hello everyone,

Although i have some experience with esxi / proxmox but its my first time trying to add a NAS to my home lab. Everything is working except GPU

I am running truenas (latest 24.x) as a VM in a exsi host 8.0(U2). I have Quadro P2000 graphic card which is on passthrough. The card works fine in windows VM that means passthrough is working fine. When it comes to truenas it doesn’t work.

In isolated GPU devices, i can see the card. But when i go to cli and do #nvidia-smi below is the error i get.

error

ACPI warning : _SB.PCIE0.PE50S1FO.DSM: Argument #4 type mismatch found, ACPI requires package 20230628/nsargument-61
NVRAM: GPU 0000:0b:00.0: RmInitAdapter failed!(0x23:0xffff:1426)

No devices were found.

Please help.

Dont isolate the GPU in TrueNAS would be my first idea. Isolation is only needed for VMs inside Truenas.

Yes, I haven’t isolated the GPU. I just pointed out that i see it as an option inside settings.

Did you see this ?

Thank you for the link. Yes i went over that. The solution is to remove the old GPU drivers and install a different one. Unfortunately Truenas doesn’t allow that. :frowning:
