I am trying to install Photoprism on my Truenas Scale Dragonfish-24.04.1.1. I already have a dataset with all my pictures in it. What I’m trying to do is that at the installation, Photoprism detect all my pictures.
I already managed to that feat on Pi Gallery 2 by setting the storage as the Host Path of my Dataset and I’d like to the same for Photoprism.
Problem is that Photoprism has 3 storage folders (import storage, storage and originals storage).
Should I use any of those storage or add a additionnal storage configuration? Thanks
Makes me wonder though, If I add another picture in my folder, will Photoprism be able to auto-detect new pictures in my folder or will I have to index it again?
According to documentation, yes.
If you have an older version you can workaround that limit easily with a custom crontab.
Its a bit i don’t use photoprism but Is a really good app
Not to hijack your thread, but are you using the Photoprism from the Truenas Discover Apps thread or the docker? Did you have to do anything special during the install?
I couldn’t get the Truenas one to install and I am wondering what I am doing wrong; it just hangs on deployment forever. Its particularly sensitive to the Originals folder, When I select an originals folder that is NOT the IX software default, it just hangs. Its not a permissions issue because I created a chmod 777 folder just for this use case and nada.
The docker one works perfectly but I prefer the Truenas Apps one for easier management going forward. Just curious what kind of wizardry you emmployed…
