My goal is to migrate my PLEX server from my PC to NAS where I have installed TrueNAS (25.04.2.6). Previously, HDR10+ worked without any problems on my TV. Now that I’m using the PLEX server on Truenas, only the usual HDR works, which is very weak and faded compared to true HDR10+. I have been trying various Docker images PLEX pass distributions (I have a lifetime subscription). Everything seems to be working with DirectPlay or transcoding. Although it doesn’t show up in the “HW” dashboard, I know it’s transcoding because the processor is running only at 10%. Does anyone have any idea what else I can check?

I’m using Minisforum N5 Pro as my Truenas server.

You could triple check that transcoding is indeed working with nvidia-smi command while a transcode is running, but I’m reasonably certain that HDR transcoding is a setting somewhere with Plex itself that needs to be toggled/set/whatever.

I found a problem. I had two identical movies, one HDR and the other HDR10+.
I didn’t know about it, my mistake.
