can someone tell me how i can restore my plex library and metadata after updating from core to scale. i got a backup of my metadata and DB from core but how in the world do i get that back into plex on scale.
could someone explain it in a noob friendly way

Right now is probably not the best time to migrate because it has been announced that the current integration of Apps (k3s) is being removed and replaced by Docker.
I would wait until Electric Eel comes out. Then you can simply mount your existing data into the new container.
