Just wanted to write about Plex Server performance, running on Truenas Scale Dragonfish-24.04.2, are about to get warp 6 performance (if having large libraries).
The thumbnail loading process has improved by leagues…
So anyone holding off the boat upgrading to this train, running Plex Server, really should upgrade (* read upgrade notes).
How did you get it to even run?
I’m trying to install plex server for days on Dragonfish witout any success.
Just followed a tutorial
This tutorial is for Truenas Core…
Same method! (-ish)
Install app, define libraries/media paths and other stuff, run
(You have to have a dataset defined for media, the same location where all your files are)
Plenty of tutorials around!
Maybe this one suits you better
Care to elaborate? You physically cant deploy plex or you’re having issues configuring it?
