Plex stuck on deploying after updating TrueNAS Scale and the app

So Plex was working fine… and I updated to the latest TrueNAS Scale Dragonfish version from TrueNAS-SCALE-24.04.2 to TrueNAS-SCALE-24.04.2.2

Then I updated to the latest Plex but I accidentally pressed the “Stop” button beside it in the apps list. Not sure if that might have something to do with it not working now… but the update seemed to continue. But now Plex just hangs on Deploying. I’ve tried turning off SMB shares and restarting the server and nothing. I tried unsetting and resetting the pool as i’ve seen someone suggest.

Hopefully none of that would have broke it. I really don’t want to uninstall plex as i’ve put a lot of time into setting it up… all the collections, etc.

Anyone have any ideas what to try next?

I also just noticed i’m getting this docker warning now…

Well maybe it was the resetting of the pool… Not sure but after about an hour my Plex server started working again… all is right in the world. For now.

I have the same issues every update. I am getting so fed up with the truenas containers I am about to run plex on a VM. It’s constant issues and no one on the forum seems to understand it either.

Just went through this myself yesterday. Multiple reboots and stopping and starting the container and resetting the settings and then it randomly worked at some point

I also get many random docker warnings and also truenas chart errors that come and go with no rhyme or reason.

Do you run 4k blurays on plex? If so do you get a myriad of other issues? Do you use this with an nvidia shield?

Shut my server down for de-dusting 2 weekends ago. Was update behind, patched beforehand. After hokoing everything back up, Plex would not start, I had 2 igpus assigned. Changed that to 1 and it started. So something to do with the igpu driver in the newest Scale release.

Getting a docker hub error is very strange…

as on Dragonfish docker is not installed,

I wonder if this is related to all the apps being migrated to docker for the EE launch that is coming up
